NOTICE OF BOND RELEASEIn accordance with the provisions of KRS 350.093 notice is hereby given that Dixie Fuel Company, LLC., PO Box 269, US 421 South, Grays Knob KY 40829, has applied for Bond Release on Permit Number 848-8073 which was last issued on October 1, 2014. This application will include a request for Phase I, Phase II, & Phase III bond release on the entire site. The existing mining area affects a total surface disturbance area of 8.00 acres and overlies a total underground or auger area of 0.00 acres for a total permit area of 8.00 acres, located 0.15 miles east of the community of Verda in Harlan County.This operation is located approximately 0.1 miles west from KY Highway 38’s junction with KY Highway 1601 and 0.01 miles northwest of the Cloverfork of the Cumberland River. The latitude is 36-51-12 and the longitude is 83-13-05. This permit is located on the Evarts U. S. G. S. 7-1/2 minute Quadrangle Map.The total surety now in effect for the single area bond included in this application is as follows:Single Area Bond Bond Amount $ 50,000 8.00 acresThe total bond now in effect for the entire permitted area listed above for Phase I, Phase II, & Phase II bond release is $50,000. 100% of this amount will be included in this application for release.Reclamation work thus far performed includes covering and grading of the entire sites and the promotion of positive drainage throughout. The areas were then cover with crushed limestone and graded to the approved post mining land use. This work was completed in September of 2014.This is the final advertisement of the application. The application covers an area of approximately 4.5 acres located one-half mile northeast of Liggett in Harlan County.The permit area is approximately 6 miles southwest from KY 72 junction with US 421 and located adjacent to Catron Creek. The latitude is 36 degrees, 45 minutes & 29 seconds. The longitude is 83 degrees, 20 minutes & 39 seconds.The bond now in effect for the permit is a surety bond in the amount of $11,800.
